Those would be fantastic teacher gifts! I wonder if the fabric is just glued, or modgepodged on? I might have to try and figure this one out.

In that link she says that she uses scrapbook paper and mod podges (sp?) it on and then seals it with an acrylic sealer. I have seen clipboards at Michael's that you can decorate yourself. The only thing that I am unsure of is how the ribbon is attached to the clip. HTH.

I wonder if you could knot the ribbons around another flat piece of webbing or thick ribbon then glue that onto the clip part of the clipboard. Did that make any sense at all? Almost like making a spiky pony-o, but flat?

My friend is a scrapbook-a-holic and makes those all the time. She uses modge-podge and you tie the ribbon all around the clip part its shaped like this |___|. Kinda like the raggidy bows. HTH

You can also use formula / coffee cans as well instead of a clipboard. You can also go to the dollar store and some of them have little metal lunch tins that you can decorate the same way as the clipboards. I used to do this all the time until I discovered digital scrapbooking.

These are great as gifts for anyone. I have even made altered mini clipboards that I have gotten at WalMart for 50 cents and put a small sticky note pad on them. Teachers love them. All you need is some paper and modge podge.
