So here is his mess.
Hello Seller,
I'm Bob Ayes residing at 23 Poplar Avenue Hackensack New Jersey 07601 USA. Am inquiring concerning the advert placed on your item posted craigslist.org (http://craigslist.org/) cos I'm highly interested in purchasing the item posted, But firstly
1.please kindly get back to me with the present condition,
2.Your location and as well your last selling price offer.
3.My mode of payment will be through Bank Cashier Check. Mail me back as soon as possible If you are Okay with the conditions and so i can be sure i will be buying from you because i need it very soon.
Thanks
Bob

I would ignore it and block the email address. This is a typical Nigerian or 419 scam. The first thing that stood out to me is this person didn't even mention the type or name of the item you are selling. Bankers check also sends up a red flag - ALWAYS.

snopes.com: Nigerian or 419 Scam (http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/nigeria.asp)

I had a couple of people send me emails like this when I was selling stuff before our move here. One person also tried to screw us over with DH's laptop on Ebay.

Most diffinitely block it from your e-mail, it is a for sure scam. I work at a bank, and you would not believe how many customers have been scammed by these people.

you already got good advice! Definitely a scam. When I post on CL I get those all the time. I just block them.

This is helpful. I am glad this question was posted. I have not encountered this yet, but good to know in case it happens to me.

Good luck.

I had the same thing happen to me with an ad on CL in Germany. Run for the hills... it is 100% a scam.
