Google analytics in etsy

If anyone missed it, there is direct tab for google analytics in etsy.

http://www.etsy.com/shop_analytics.php

It is under "shop setup" before the "view shop".

Very easy to do and you can track your visits and keywords:)

Thanks for sharing this. I signed up and in 1 day got several visits to my etsy shop from the forum.
I am still a little confused about what everything means, but it definitely seems worthwhile.

You can track the key words that are used to reach your site. Based on that you can alter your etsy tags and wait for more traffic:)

I can see where my traffic is coming from: Outside sources, Direct traffic, google searches, etc. I just listed my 2nd item and I can see that the direct traffic has gone up.

There is also a function to see a map of where (in the world) the site visitors live. It's so neat! My shop has been viewed from all over the world in just a few days: Australia, England, Turkey, USA, Canada. I feel famous:)

I still haven't figured it all out, but I think it is a very helpful tool for promoting your site.

-- We have expanded the available features within Google Analytics to include info about Etsy's site search. That's right -- sellers can now track which search terms used by shoppers on Etsy brought visits to their Etsy shops!
