Does anyone know how to white-out a background on picnik? I have the premium service and still don't see any tool that will easily allow me to do this. Any help would be greatly apprecaited!! Thanks Ladies!

I have had no luck finding an easy way on picnik so i just take pics of mine on a white peice of paper :girly: but you can do this in the "create" tab there is one that says "advanced" then in that is "curves" click on that and then it brings up a grid that has a line in it just pull the line up to the top left and that will white out the picture, then you use your mouse to draw on the stuff you want to keep, good luck!

I buy a piece of foam board and take pics on that so that I get a white background. Good luck!

I put items on white paper too when I take pictures. If they were taken, during the day, they are fine. If at night, the white color is no longer white, and I don't know how to fix it. Sorry!
How about a light box?

I have a free download that is comperable to photoshop called GIMP2. The easiest way I have found to "whiteout a backgrond" is with levels.
In my program you click the "colors" tab from the top menu of tabs and select "levels" here you find 3 eyedropper tools. Select the dropper to the right it is the lightest colored one. Using the lightest colored dropper click on the lighest part of the background of you photo. This should make the back pretty white and leave the foreground in a good color. And hit "apply" to approve the work you have done.
Then since I like to make it the whitest I can get it, so I select the "bucket fill" from my tools box and fill the background with white. And to finish it off I use the "eraser tool" to even out the shadows using the faded edge circle style eraser.
Most pictures I can edit like this in less than 5 min each. Unless it is a white bow. That requires much more work, because this process will completely wash out the bow.
Here are some exaples of what how a photo turns out.
Sorry I did this quite quickly as an examle and its a blury pic, but hope you can get the idea.
Hope this is helpfull.
