What is a good one I bought one from menards and only used it a few times
and it crapped out on me. The whole thing got hot on me even the handle
so I tossed it. So I'm stuck using a lighter and I kinda hate it cause I can't alway burn the end of the ribbon straight....lol

I bought a wood burning tool from Wal-mart, I think it is made Walnut Hollow. It works great and its the best tool I've ever bought.

I have two burners (yard sale and goodwill finds for a total of $0.75 both brand new). One is a Walnut Hollow and it is the one I use all of the time. Works marvelously!

I got mine at walmart.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I was using a lighter and of course couldn't make the edges nice and straight. I saw these posts and marched myself down to Michael's with coupon, of course, and am in love with this "wood burning" tool. Thanks for great advice!!!

It does save a ton of time and aggravation! I still use my lighter to do "V" cuts (because I get them much straighter and crisper with it) but for all else, the woodburner is the way to go.
