Modeling

I have a question about modeling for products. I know that your supose to take pics, but how many? whats the Average amount? Should there be two to three different backgrounds? and do u edit them ur self or the person that your emailing them to?

I dont want to short some one and not have a good transaction. thanks for all your help.

For one product, i take like 5 to 10 shots depending on the model's mood. But definetely more than 1, for my satisfaction:).

If i am taking a picture of an object, i try with lighter background(most of the time, white) then go to darker background. Again with flash and no flash.

I edit mine with photoshop. Before photoshop i was using picasa and picnik. They seem to maintain the resolution.

I need to find a model, or models. I have a little boy, so....not so great for bows and such
