I found a craft show that will be going on February 20, 2010 at a Holiday Inn. It's $50 for a 10 x 10 space, which includes a table and 2 chairs. Electric plug is $10 extra. Is this a good deal? Oh, and it's a one day event, from 10 am to 5 pm. They even serve vendors free continental breakfasts. This will be my first so any suggestions will be appreciated. What do I plan on bringing for inventory? It will be close to Easter so I think I should plan on making Easter and spring clippies, bows, kufis, korkers, etc. We live in western NY so I'm not sure what will even sell. Should I do it? I was thinking a one day event would be a good way for me to get my feet wet. Help!!!!!!

Do you have an idea about how many people are expected to attend? That may help determine whether or not $50 is a good deal especially since it is only one day. If the fee is not too much for you then maybe do it for the experience. I don't know.

I was told 900 went through the event last year. I'm on the fence about doing it. I think it would be good experience for me but my sister only sold 7 clippies out of about 50 at the daycare she works at. Granted it's a whole different scenario but I'm just not sure the people around here are into bows and clippies. We're in NY state and people can be a little uppity (sorry to any fellow NYer's. I've lived here my whole life!) But craft shows as a whole do draw a lot of people around here. Waa Haa....somebody make up my mind for me!:D

Can you maybe find a fellow crafter to split the cost/table with? That way it will not be so much and you will still get the experience.
