Has anyone ordered from United Beads before? How is the quality of their items?? Seriously considering buying through them (THANKS FOR THE INFO), but wanted to make sure I was getting the thicker grosgrain ribbon not the floppy stuff I've found at Wal-Mart.

I have bought from them before. The quality of the ribbon is "ok" but it is a bit thinner, definitely NOT the 'thicker grosgrain ribbon" you are wanting. I love it for weaving/braiding headbands and lining clips (3/8"). You can't beat the price.

No you really can't beat the price. I was afraid it was the thinner grosgrain. Still though! I just ordered $75 from TRR yesterday and remeber UB today, ugh! Wish I would have waited! Guess I'll have to wait on trying them out.

So I cleaned out my inbox today and realized I'd e-mailed someone from UB like 6 months ago and totally forgot. If my e-mail was working at this moment (server busy??) I'd give you more info. The e-mail did say a Min. $50.00 order. Thought I'd throw that in there for others.

I do not know if Julie ships overseas or not, but it might be worthwhile to send her an email and ask. I know alot of people use APO/FPO address's and I think she has shipped through that. I love my UB ribbon, like someone said, they are great for making headbands, lining clips, and also making korkers. One gal on one of my groups uses UB for her base boutiques but uses a stiffner on that and builds up. You can't beat the price either way.
