I found this link oh HipGirls and couldn't quit thinking about trying it:
From One Clickin' Mom to the next: Fake Wood Floor and Fabric Set Up (http://learningtoclick.blogspot.com/2008/12/fake-wood-floor-and-fabric-set-up.html)
I tried doing my own photos - Remember this.... Trying to take photos on my own - Posh N Pretty Forum (http://www.poshnpretty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1971)
Yeah, those weren't so good.

I didn't even use lights for this set up, just natural light coming in for the french doors. I used the wood floors in the kitchen and the kitchen table to help hold up the fabric in the background. It did take us a good 2 hours to take ALL 350 photos, change out the backgrounds (fabric), and change her outfits and accessories. She got breaks in there too of course, pretzel and cookies breaks!

I'm much happier with these photos then my last attempt.

It cost me about $10 for the baseboard and clamps to hold the baseboard up and the fabric tight, I had the fabric on hand. My husband is happy b/c I told him I just saved him $100 b/c now we don't have to have her 4 year pics taken! LoL!

She is BEAUTIFUL! Oh how I wish my girls would let me take pictures of them. My son too. They are all going through this crazy phase where they won't look at the camera or won't act natural when they AREN'T looking, lol. They get these weird smiles and faces...ALL I WANT IT TO TAKE PICTURES, LOL!

The pictures are great. Your daughter is adorable! My grandchildren are the same way, most of the time I get goofy smiles from them, the baby at 1 does pretty good recently except she wants to come to me and then she's too close.

Those look wonderful! I love the backgrounds you used. I saw the tutorial on the HG forum & have been meaning to try it, but I haven't had the chance yet.

Your daughter is beautiful and those pictures are beautiful. They look so professional. I love the black/pink zebra bows and the red, white & blue bows. May I ask what kind of camera you have to get those results?

I have a Sony Cyber-shot 12.1 megapixels. I got it the day it came out, but that was a year ago so of course it's "out of date" now. It's nice, takes good pics, and takes HD videos. It's a point and shoot though, not a SLR which I long for. But after seeing the pics it took from this shoot I'm actually happy with it and really don't think I need a SLR right now. I really think it's all about good lighting.
