I was just going through the couple of posts in this section and noticed they were pretty old...do any of you dabble in beading?

I have made a couple bracelets for my daughter but they are nothing fancy! I would like to get more into it, but I think I like making bows more than beading. And with my ribbon addiction the hubby might not like another huge lot of crafting supplies coming into the house.

I have been playing alot with my beads lately...I love them...I usually make beaded dangles for bottlecaps etc. ...Last nite I sat down and decided to try making some stretch bracelets....Here is what I came up with...what do you think? Too much? too little? Do you know what people sell these for? Do these look like something that would sell? The hello kitty dangle is actually a bell...so cute.

I actually was just using my own wrist...l have really skinny wrists...and then making them up ...seems to be just the right size since they fit my six year old daughter like PERFECT! And they are stretchy so I can wear them too. LOL.

I still do ...not as much as I used to but I have a CLOSET FULL OF BEADS! Seems like the beaded items aren't as popular as they have been previously...but I still like to make stuff like the pictures I attached. :001_tongue:
I get most of the charms from Ebay...search under "CELL PHONE CHARMS"

I have been thinking of adding some bead to bows, there are many different beading techniques that basically involve weaving in and around the beads --I was going to see if I could come up with some designs/items that would look acceptable for centers or accents on bows

If anyone else has tried this, would love to see your creations! Wanted to add, I enjoy looking at what others create, often I am inspired to try something new! Keep posting the wonderful pictures :girly:

I bet that would be really pretty. And really different. You could make a killing with that idea.

Because my daughter had an event in school that required them to wear some accessories, I think that an old flame was rekindled with beading. I usually made a lot of those pieces on rather hard metal wires so they could be used as plunging necklaces. Though I have also tried doing a lot of those garter bands you could just slip to your hand.
