the figure 8 bow

I'm not real sure what this bow is called. I have seen it called the butterfly bow and the twisted boutique bow. Just wanting your opinion on how it looks. Its not finished and I think my ribbon was too long. Not all that happy with the way it looks. Let me know what you think and what I can do to make it better.

I get lost on the 3rd loop. Not sure which way it turns so that's why I tried the figure 8 bow above. I guess I will have to try, try again.

Can you try to flip the ribbon that is on top the other way around...I know that is confusing...its hard to explain...the ribbon that is on the very top..flip it over to where the back part of the ribbon is facing up. I think that may be what is wrong.

You know now that I look at it I am not sure...your bottom loops look fine...

Can you just take the loop that is on the left side...take the right side of the loop and maneuver it to where it is almost straight up and down? It looks like the loops on the top may just a little flat...like the ribbon is going to far over the the right if that makes sense..

I can take some pics tomorrow and see if I can help out...my husband has my camera at his office so I can't do it tonight...when I was taught to make bows like that my friend had me take the ribbon that came out of the center and pull them to where they were almost straight up and down on one side and then coming out at a 90 degree angle on the other side of the loop. Sorry, I know its so hard to explain in words...I do so much better in pics!

I know, I know, never say die huh? Gonna give it one more try LOL!

See on the bottom loops how your ribbon comes out from the middle and goes directly to the left or right (at a 90 degree angle) and the end of the loop comes out and goes directly down? That is the way it should be.

The top loops have the ribbon on one side going out at a 90 degree angle but the other side of the loop has the ribbon going out at like a 45 degree angle instead of straight up so your loops look kind of flat on top...

Thanks. I will have to work on it. I thought I followed the directions. I will have to untie it and try again. I guess
