Hello all! I just had my first show, and wanted to share how it went.

Fisrt of all I was stoked, but am so very tired. And it was only 4 hours, lol.
It was a small show at my daughters school, with a big crowd.
But unfortunately i was in a bad location, kinda hidden in the corner, and bypassed, and placed right next to a retail boutique with mass quantities.

All in all I made 109 but 25 of that goes towards the table fee.

I had a lot of fun, Alot of stress, and a lot of learning. LIke I need bags for my customers, LOL.
Got many request for future orders.
(I usually do custom work only -
this was my first attempt at having inventory)
One lady wanting 50 cheerleading bows for the squad,
another wanting wedding headpeices, and a wedding cake.

(My main hobby is cakes, crafts are my secondary when the cakes are slow, and they give my kids tons of cute stuff, and me something to do when I put them to bed!)

I sold tons of cake pops (literally what is says, cake on lollipop sticks), a few flip flops, and good handfull of hairbows), unfortunately I did not sell any hairbow bouquets.

It was a great learning experience, since it was a school event I had my kids with me and my sister to watch them, which was added stress on my behalf trying to be mom and business owner all at once. When I do the next show no kids should help me destress a little:)

Just wanted to share, I also attached a few pics my sis snapped before we got started. And a few others of the cake pops and bow bouquet that were there since you cant really see them in the pic.

I would have bought a cake pop!! Sounds yummy!! I've learned that location has a lot to do with how you end up doing. If you do this event again next year, maybe put in a request for a more "up front" spot. But really, for a 4 hour event at a school, I'd call that a success!! I love how you have your bow bouquets displayed too! Congrats to you!

Aww thanks girls! The spiral stand is just a plant stand, and there was a smaller one on the top of the table too, I thought they worked out well .

I will def, try to req. a better location next time, though I was greatful to have an indoor spot, I was scorthcing outside, but I think outdoors had much bigger crowds than where I was at, thanks for the tip!

The cake pop sounds so good! The plant stand was a great idea! Sounds like you did well for 4 hours, congrats, maybe next time you'll be in a better spot.

Now I'm really craving some cake.

Sounds like a really great first show, and like you said, especially for the experience. I love the spiral stands you have, very cool!

I think you are onto something with the cake pops!! I would have def bought one. Its a perfect thing for someone that wants cake all the time, but doesnt want the whole darn thing...lol I have to admit, i probably would have bought all of them...hehe

The cake pops were quite a hit! Many people were skeptical as they had never heard of the idea, so they would buy one or two, then an hour later come back and get a handful more.
