HI all, I am still quite new to the whole biz thing as I just got this wild hair to go for it in early March, I have been working on my website for a little while, it's a free google one, so I can feel it out before I make a big purchase commitment.
Welcome! (Sweets & Treats Design Studio) (http://sites.google.com/site/christinagarzassweetstreats/)
Just thought I would share and get some critiques.
BTW I am still in the process of editing all of the photos....editing consumes so much of my time...

First I think your logo on the home page is really cute! Your site is really nice for a free website!!!!! Really, it doesn't look "free." I also agree, taking pictures of your products and photo editing them does take A LOT of time. But there's no way around it. If you have customers wanting to purchase your products, those pictures are their only way of seeing that they are buying. So it's all worth the effort in the end!! I need to work on mine more... But your creations look really really great! You have patients with cake and icing that I do not have. The Minni Mouse cupcakes are ADORABLE!!!
To change the subject just a little, I need some of your advice. I want to make s'more pops for my daughter's cowgirl party. Basically i saw you put a stick into a large marshmellow, dip in chocolate, and sprinkle with graham crackers. Should I use chocolate icing? chocolate candy melts? melted chocolate chips? other suggestions?

Thank You,
I had tried many sites out but am so computer stupid that google was the simplest for me to work with at the price of Free.
I have never made smores pops, but they sound great!
First of all I would probably try dipping your sticks in either candy melts or chocolate and sticking them into your marshmellows 3/4 of the way and letting them set. This should serve as "glue" to keep them on the stick.
Then you can dip into either melted bark chocolate form the bakers isle in the grocery store or use candy melts(the way to go if you want them colored, I found it is very hard to color chocolate).
either way chocolate or candy melts, use a tiny bit of crisco when melting to thin it to a workable consistancy, and sprinkle the grahm crackers on while still wet, works better then rolling in crumbs.
If you want the to stand up and look very clean, let them dry by sticking the sticks into a foam block, if you want them to be stick up, then you can just let them sit upright on parchment paper to dry
BTW would love to know how they turn out!
I hope this helps!

WOW! AWESOME advice! THANK YOU! I'd have never even thought to make colored chocolate or use colored candy melts! Might just have to do that now! Glad you said something about sticking the stick into chocolate to make "glue" - another thing I'd have never thought of. I'm probably going to have them marshmellow up/stick down for serving so I'll make sure to get a foam block to stick them into for drying. Again, thanks for all that info! GLAD I ASKED! I will for sure post pics! (13 days and counting till the party now!! Do I sounds a little too exicited? Being that it's not even my party, lol!!)

Youre welcome!
Oh and one more thing, when using chocolate or candy melts be aware of the tempatures inyour house, best 65-75 ish , if too hot the coating willnot set, or if it sets initially it might crack or melt or your marshmellows might slide down the stick.
Once they are made, and dry, you will no longer need to keep them upright inthe foam, lay them flat until ready to display.
They are really cute to display up right ina wide mouth glass fish bowl or something (hot glue the foam in the bottom) and cover with hay possibly to go with you theme, using jute or twine to tie the wrapper shut would be an idea too
And If you want you can make them indavance, (they can last up to two weeks or so, but be cautious with the grahm cracker crumbs getting soft if making them too early though!

Thanks again for all the help! I really didn't think there was so much involved, but I'm glad I asked, because I can be kind of a perfectionist. I'm sure, with all your advice, they are going to turn out beautifully now! I may have to print off these directions for later.

I think it looks great. Very hard to tell at first viewing that it is a "free website". Normally you know right off the bat because they "look free".

Thank You,
Keep in mind with google there is limited stroage space....To get around this I use photobucket and put in links for images to save tons of space.
Thus far my site only has a small percentage used.

Those s'more pops would be so cute in a galvanized bucket with a bandana liner. I did a cowboy theme for my son a couple of years ago. It was probably one of the best parties he's had. Decorations are fun. Good luck with your party. We're doing a Super Hero one on the 29th.

It looks nice, and it definitely makes me want cake! Another free website I've heard a lot of great things about is Weebly.com. I haven't made one myself but it's completely customizable.

Thank You, I too have heard great things about weebly, when I was trying free sites, I did not try theirs, (Ididnt hear about it until after much trial & error with many others) so google was the way i went, due the simplicity of it.
