I love the flip flops decorated with ribbon and bows. I am wanting to try and make a pair as a present. Can anyone give me any pointers. I saw that alot of ppl use e600 or whatever the name is. I would like a little more instruction. please!

Those are great directions! Thanks! I tried this last year and the bows fell off, but I didn't do it this way (making them interchangeable).
FYI - Old navy I believe is having their $1 flip flop sale this Saturday again!! (May 22)

I make mine the same way, but I apply a thin ribbon of the E6000 on the whole strap on the outside. Holds much better and lasts alot longer. No slipping and gapping of the ribbon. You could just skip the center to make them interchangable.

Does everyone use the E6000? I bought some but I needed to make a pair in the am to be picked up in the pm so I didn't want to send them out the door with me not ever using the stuff before and I didn't know of anyone who had made them that would share with me... I am still a little skeptical about using glue to keep them on. I have heard horror stories so I decided to stick with something that I knew would work and sew them on by hand. Which I have to say is very time consuming and a pain in the boot getting stuck all the time. I was thinking though, since I don't wrap my straps that maybe the E6000 wouldnt hold. I just put the bow directly on the straps and sew in place then glue the top of the ribbon to the bottom of the ribbon so that I covers my stitching... I will upload a picture so you guys can hopefully tell me if you have used the E6000 for this kind of bow and did it stay... for good.
