I actually have done this tutorial too!!! It was pretty easy, and I always hated giving away my daughter's tights so this was a MUST TRY project. Here's a pic of my little sweeter pies in her bubble skirt:

I also did the second party to this tutorial - turning the bottom of the tights into bobby socks. You can kind of see those in the 3rd photo

OMG!! I just threw two pair of tights away!! UGH!! Thanks for sharing I hate sewing elastic and this would be so fast and easy. oooo I have a pregnant freind, I bet this would work for her too!!

I've been searching the web for a free bubble skirt tutorial...yay yay yay. I know what my next project is!!!

btw I do have some of the thick tights but I'm curious if anyone else has the same experience that these are hard to find anymore? Most of mine I've found in 2nd hand stores.
