I posted about wanting to havea photo shoot last week asking what background would be best and one of you lovely ladies mentioned to contact local photographers to see who would be willing to trade products (props) for the images. Weirdest thing!! A local photographer contacted me today to do that very thing! LoL! She's also willing to advertise my site on her blog and facebook. Hope we can work this all out, I'm MORE THEN HAPPY to trade products for pictures to use on my website :3:

Super...Congratulations....I would like to do this before but don't work for me each photographer ask me for each dress or set and $60 for a set of picture is to much for me...

Oh I know!!! Your items are TOO NICE to just be giving away, even if it is in exchange for photos. I think the photos you take are beautiful! I know they aren't on a child, but you are doing the next best thing.

Yeah good for you! This is the best way to get great pics and lots of photogs are more than happy to do it :clap:

Yeah! I just got another e-mail. She told me what she is interested in and offer to photograph any new items I need pictures for. I'm sending 2 outfits and a couple little things first to see what she does with them. If they are good, I'll be loading her up!!! Her wesbite is beautiful and so is her work. She has two blogs and a facebook that has great responce, so I think it's going to be good!

Can't wait to see pics. This is something I'd love to do but can be tricky since I do appliques and wall decor as well as the hair accessories.

Check out my site, lots of her photos are already on there (Stephanie Cotta Photography). She's been soooo wonderful! We've had 2 shoots and she's done a little bit of work for me too. Plus we did a show together. So glad it's working out so well!

I just read this post and I thought I would share something that recently happened to me. I am actually on the other side of this issue as a photographer. A couple weeks ago I received an email from someone who owned a boutique and sold outfits, shoes and bows. She asked me if I would be interested in photographing her items and said she didn't like how her photos were coming out. I was completely interested until she told me that I would be "checking the items out" and had three days to photograph them and return the items and the web-ready images to her. That's was a little bossy but I was okay with it, it's not like I wanted to keep her stuff and my turnaround is pretty fast but when she told me, not asked me about payment, I couldn't believe her nerve! She expected me PICK UP the items from her, to PHOTOGRAPH and RETURN the items to her and she would give me "a portion" of the sales price if the items I photographed sold! What?! And then she ended her email with "I think this a generous and worthwhile business arrangement."
