My Americana Bows

Just wanted to share some bows I have been working on for the upcoming holiday. The 1st one is my favorite :) My oldest will be wearing those to a party tomorrow.

Thanks Barbara Jean. I like that one too. Got it from this fab forum. :) I made those for school and thought they would be cute for the 4th. After looking at the picture, I now see I should have alternated the colors differently.

The first one, I sewed 2 strips of ribbon togther and folded.

They are the easiest to make. My favorite! I do use the BBM template to make them. So I am unable to share how to make them. :(
I sewed the 2 ends of the ribbon first. Made it easier for me rather than doing as the directions said.
I came up with my own measurements so I think I can share that. I cut each 1 1/2" ribbon into 12 1/4". Overlapped 1/4 and sewed them together. That way you have a 24" piece of ribbon. It's folded in the center so all the stitching is covered. I'm sure you can use other templates. Or your own folding techniques. hth :girly:
