I made these last night. I wanted to put the bee on the flower, but it just didn't work. It looked cute in my head though :) lol
I mounted the flower on a French clip and the bee on a double pronged alligator clip. DD wore them both to school today. The bee right next to the flower. :)

Looks cute, Brandy! If you made the bee out of 1/4" ribbon, you think he will fit on the flower then? I can picture it in my head too and it would be really cute.

Thank you :) I bet 1/4" would work :) I will just need to order some 1/4" yellow. I'm sure I have a roll of black. I'll have to add it to my list. I bet the butterflies would look really cute that size too, mounted on an wrapped snap clip. I might have to try when the kids are in bed...45 minutes to go! :)

I know... Mine is playing in the tub now. She keeps yelling "look at me, Mommy, look at me!" I'm in serious need of some quiet time because she talks all day long!

Have you guys been getting all of the snow we have been getting lately? Up to about 20 inches right now. The temp tonight is supposed to be 4 degrees in Munich!!!!

That flower is beautiful! The little bee would be cute on it, but I bet it looked cute side by side also.

Thank you, ladies :)
Barbara-Yes, we've also been getting a ton of snow. I'm not sure how much is on the ground, but I know we are supposed to get another foot and a half.
Around 7 it started to get really windy and there is snow blowing everywhere. The side streets are horrendously slippery.
DH has TDY up in Wiesbaden from tomorrow to Saturday. I know he is not looking forward to driving that far with snow on the ground.
Is Munich good about keeping your side streets clear? Garmisch doesn't have the funds to clear their side streets, but they are good about keeping the main streets clear.

Our street is cleared regularly because it is on an MVV bus route. The "side streets" probably just get a once-over.

I will try to get a picture of our street tomorrow, and the pile of show from our sidewalk. DD keeps wanting to jump in it lol Our street has been plowed *maybe* twice this winter.
Thank you, Vanitha :)

It didn't really take too long :) Once I figured out how I wanted it, it came together quickly.
which flower instructions did you use?
I didn't use any instructions. I used basic concepts from the Ribbon Retreat and put my own spin on it. :)

Those are cute... I made my bee like that but with a velvet black and a satin yellow to experiment with look/texture because my daughter told me that it looked like a bee but didnt feel soft like a bee... she was referring to her stuffed bee ofcourse, not a real bee. She got stung or bite by a spider and swelled right up so we avoid everything like that right now till she is older to have a proper allergy test done...

I think she did try it, but it didn't work with those size ribbons, someone elses suggested a smaller type ribbon for the bee; but I didn't see a pic if that was tried -?
Really cute though, wearing side by side

The bee was too big so I ended up mounting it on an alligator clip and dd wears them side by side. I did, however, make a teeny tiny bee and posted a pic here-

I used 3/8" yellow and then wrapped 1/8 around the center/middle. I never got around to attaching it to anything so it is floating around in my craft drawers somewhere :)
Barbara tried her hand at it and it came out really cute.
