ok i want to start approching local shops in the hopes that they will sell them but i have no idea how to approach them can anyone give me some pointers. any help is appreciated.

All you really have to do is find shops that accepts consigners. They usually already have details in mind about how you will split the profit (rent/commission). It's up to you to accept or not. Some store owners will work with you though. I'd call a couple of shops first and see if they are even accepting and if they are ask the owner to meet with you to preview your items and work out the ins and outs. BEST OF LUCK!

Inch by inch has great articles and the books she recommends are very helpful. I have purchased 2 so far and found them both helpful.
