Hi Ladies....this is my first thread post. I attempted a boutique bow with the instructions from hair-hardware.com. Did I do it right? The pics are the front and back view.

Great first try! However, one of your loops is twisted a bit. It's hard to see because your ribbon doesn't have a front and back. If you try it again with a printed ribbon on just one side you should be able to get it. (1st photo- top right loop) Practice makes perfect :-) Good luck!

Not bad at all for your first shot. Angle the loops a bit more and redo your top right loop that is somehow twisted the wrong way and you will cooking with gas!

is there a way to adjust just one loop after it's been tied???
and how should I "angle" them? do they need to be spread out more?
Gosh this is confusing. I'll go see if I have some crappy 1 sided ribbon to practice on!
thanks for all your replies.

Try flippin that loop. When you make your loops, aim for more of a ninety degree angle when turning. HTH.

Like April said, just try to position the ribbon you are looping more of a 90deg angle to the center line. See Vanitha's instructions on a basic boutique and see if that helps you any. Simple boutique bow fold! - Posh N Pretty Forum (http://poshnpretty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38)

TY barbara Jean....it's this tutorial that inspired me to try, but when I tried with 3/8 ribbon I just couldn't do it. So I tried with a bigger ribbon. I need lots more practice I guess
