I am donated to two different silent auctions locally to help get my name out there. I needed to come up with two in a very short amount of time. I wanted to use what I had on hand and not spend more time and supplies on something I wasn't going to be selling, so I did some scrounging. I had the dowel rods with the bumble bees from a craft show display, the bases are actually candles I had from last spring that I had decorated. I made holes in the wax to hold the rods and some hot glue. The rods are lined with 3/8" ribbon that I hot glues to the rod on the top middle and bottom so I could slide the buggy clips onto it to display them. Also used pink tissue paper to cover the candle top. I attached a business card to the top to make sure my logo and website would be displayed with the donation. Hope they go for a good price!

I agree I think those are adorable. I got sucked into donating to my sons school PTO a gift basket valued at $70 EEK...I don't know what I was thinking. Oh well it's going to a good cause :3:

They are cute. The MOPS group that I go to is having a dollar sale so I'm thinking about making some bows and donating them. I forgot about the little bugs like butterly, lady bug, etc..I may have to make some clippies. Thanks for the great idea.

Thanks ladies! I've been trying to use whatever I have on hand and it just seems to be working out! I'm glad they are both going for a good cuases too, that makes me feel good that I can be apart of something.
