Where to get plastic headbands?

Where can I get 1 inch plastic headbands in wholesale with great prices and fast shipping?

You can get them from united beads, Wonderful Enterprise Corp. (http://www.hairparts.com/7-13.htm), TRR and RABOM.

I will go for retail if you are just starting out, becos the resellers can handpick and send the better quality headband for you. :)

Does anyone know what size ribbon to use with what size headband when wrapping or lining?

I like to use 3/8" ribbon on the 1/2" and also the 3/4" headbands. I bought some 1" padded ones but have not done anything with them yet. hth

has anyone actually made a woven or braided headband using 3/8" headband? i bought several of each size and when i saw how small they were, it didn't seem like it would look right with a "design" per se, but if you have aside from just wrapping ribbon all around, i want a woven look, but what size ribbon would you use?

I haven't done that size but I would suggest probably using 1/8" ribbon if you want to see any kind of pattern.

Thanks Barbara, I was thinking the same thing either using 1/8" or 1/4", but thought I would ask in case someone may have actually done one before :)

I buy my headbands from the Namegame.org. They do have a minimum of $50 to purchase. Customer service is really nice.

As for the ribbon on the headbands, I make all my headbands with 3/8 ribbon. The ribbon sits nicely on the headbands.
