I've seen some etsy sellers have them with printed ribbon, same size, and some say they've used 3/8 ribbon and I see no clip.
I use 3/8 ribbon to cover it and there always seems to be this itty bitty teeny weeny sliver of clip that peeks out at the widest point of the snap clip. It ANNOYS me SO much that I feel I must cover it with an embellishment.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is it just the angle of photography that I can't see it on the Etsy sellers clips?
Am I using cr@ppy ribbon?

Hi there! I had the same problem with my clips. I tried using 10mm ribbon and i still had the same problem. I was using the trimweaver clips. I had problems with the trimweaver ones anyway. So i decided to try the ones from HG and i got them last week and I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!! They are so easy to cover and look really neat when covered and when they are covered with ribbon they don't loose any of the strength in the snap. Try them and you'll see the difference. I'm so pleased and i'm going to keep using them. :clap:Also i was lining them with velcro so when i was ordering the clips i decided to order some of the Duck Hold-it and the difference is huge. I'm so proud of my little clippies now:girly:

so you had some clip sticking out with the trimweaver clips, but not the HG snap clips?:banghead:

Every clip i covered had bits of silver sticking up over the sides. Now i have loads of trimweaver snaps left and i'm not going to use them cos i'm not annoying myself trying to cover them! I'm sticking with the HG ones cos they cover so easily and there's not a bit of silver in sight....... I think that might be the solution for you as well........

Are these from HG shaped differently? Is that why?

They're slimmer but they're the same length. I think that they're stronger as well........ I haven't had any problems with them but i had problems with the other ones.
