the right side or the left? I usually make mine for my DDs right side. I've made some for the left side, but by mistake. I usually don't put clippies on both sides.

I actually do both and not sure why. Unless I think people when doing piggies or whatever they can have one of each. LOL

Same here. I usually make them for her right side and usually do not make a set of two. :)

Both my girls have hair that parts over to the right side, so yep right side here too. Don't usually make clippies in pairs, but I do make bows in pairs. I put those in my 3 yr olds pigtails and I like them to be in the correct directions lol.

for my DD, the right side, but to sell I usually make both sides and ask the buyer to specify which side they need it for

I know what you mean...when I first started this hobbie, I didn't realize that the clippies and bows had to face a certain direction. I first realized it when I made a cupcake clippie. I wanted to see what it looked like on my DD and it ended up being upside down!

Right side unless it's a set or someone requests otherwise.

For my daughter and when I make pigtail bows I make both. But the ones I sell I make for the right.

I make them all right but offer both. So far no one has asked for left.

Kylie's hair naturally parts to the left, so I make left-sided clippies. I'm still not always able to tell which way my bows are facing, so who knows!

I make the majority of mine for the right side since that is what most of my customers want. Some are made to wear on either side (vertical down the middle).
Heather, if you holding the bow/clip in your hand looking at it straight on, the "bigger/pinch" end would indeed be on the right if it is mounted horizontally for use on the right side.

I usually make them for the right side but the other day I lined an alligator clip for my daughter with a printed ribbon and realized when it was finished that the print would be upside down(I wasn't paying attention) so I made another one the right way and now she has two. Most I see for sale are for right side though, but there is a store on etsy where the lady makes only for the left side unless right is requested.

I make them right and offer both. Sometimes if I am selling/posting/listing them as a set, I do both.

I usually make one for each side. My 2 year old daughter usually sports piggies, so I like to have things looking uniform :)

I have been searching for this answer and  I just found it. So to make sure I understand what you all were saying, the clip would go on the right side of the childs head? is that correct? I always put clips on the left of my girls, not sure why but I think it has to do with me being right handed and when they are facing me, the clip goes on the left side of their head.
sorry to reply on an old thread.

I usually do the right side, but I try to do a pair for most clips for each side. I've never once had a person ask for one side or the other, or pay attention, though.

That was going to be my next question. Do you usually sell clippies as a set or just a single one? Some of my clippies I would sell single, like the butterfly ones I make that are pictured. But the strawberry ones, I'm not sure if I should sell them as a set or as a single clip. Any thoughts from anyone on this, please let me know.

Sounds like me, just opposite. lol

I was doing them for the right side, but have just started making some as sets and also singles for the left as I realised a lot of people I know are the opposite to my little one
