I went to walmart to see what I could find. I was not sure of how much to buy and the colors to get. Should I buy the ones that come in sets for about 7.00 or so?

There are some on here that I want to try but I think they take several different colors of ribbon.

HOw much should I pay for ribbon?

Thanks

It's cheaper to buy by the yard at Walmart.

I just got back from walmart and I got 10" of 6 colors.
well , I think I am going to have to go back and get enough for several more layers.
I have a picture of one layer so far, but I don't really think these colors go together . I didn't see the smaller fabric in grimson. I will have to re-check.
ok, first time buying ribbon and first layer of bow.
I am not sure how to post a picture on here yet.

There are lots of place to buy ribbon, even good online stores.

You could always try Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Also Scrapbook.com has American Crafts on sale.
American Crafts - Essentials Ribbon Kit - 30 Spools, BRAND NEW (http://store.scrapbook.com/ac-9207.html)
American Crafts - Boardwalk Ribbon Kit - 36 Spools, BRAND NEW (http://store.scrapbook.com/ac-92568.html)
American Crafts - Uptown Ribbon Kit - 30 Spools, BRAND NEW (http://store.scrapbook.com/ac-9217.html)
I used it to make my 3 loop bow and I think they are good for accents on bows or korkers :).

What kind and size bows are you going to make? That will determine how much ribbon you need. If you don't want to buy it online try Michael's, Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, Walmart and either get 5 yard rolls or determine the amount you need for the type of bow you are making and get it by the yard.

I found some cute bows that a seller has on esty but I am not sure how they are made and I hate to ask the seller. If I post the link can you tell by looking at it? ( I wanted to ask before I post it)

how do you make korkers? Are they hard to make?

I have plenty of blk ponytail bands but I still can't figure out how to put the ribbons on there.

I am sorry, I am really new to this.

Thanks for the links , I am going to look and see what they have now. I have a pink and white floral outfit for my 7 year old for Easter and I hope I can make something to match it in time.

I would like to try also the flowered loop bow, I see the instructions but I am not sure about how much total to get in ribbons. It looks like different sizes of ribbons.

If you are talking about the loopy flower (http://poshnpretty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34) then you will need about 45" of 3/8" grosgrain ribbon to make it (and line a clip to put it on).

Thanks for the inches that i may need.

The bow on esty to me looks like 3 bows on top of each other( not sure what kind of bows) but it looks like from lg- med-sm with a bottle cap in the center.

Some people make it look so easy and do such pretty work. It is amazing to me.

I got that american craft ribbon at Big Lots for $2! I guess it comes 5 or 6 rolls of 4 ft. It's a great deal cuz I think they're $7 at HL. HTH!
