I tried in 2 different occasions to make korkers. The first time, the ribbon didn't hold the curl at all. I repeated the process; this time, I added fabric spray starch before baking and it was somewhat better but still not good. Can you help? Also, do you starch your other bows?

At what temperature and length of time are you baking for? That might have something to do with it not holding its shape.

I bake mine at 275 degrees and use a 3/8 dowel. Wrap your ribbon so there is not any space between each row. I have not used hairspray and the curl stays in just fine.

You could try increasing the temp to 275...I also bake mine at the temp. Also make sure that you wrap them tightly with no space between the ribbon. Let us know if you need more help :).

I spray mine heavy with hairspray and bake at 215 for about 30 minutes and have had no trouble. When I bake at a higher temp in my oven it leaves burn marks on them.

Have you tried baking them without spraying them and then putting them in at a higher temp for a short baking time? Just asking, maybe this will prevent the burn marks.

Thank you ladies!
Also use 3/8, or 1/4 in ribbon for your korkers. Anything larger just does not turn out right.
