View Full Version : Bows with Cute Centers?

I've seen a lot of bows with clay/resin figures or bottlecaps in the center. I just placed an order for ribbon from RABOM and ordered a couple of their flat back resins to give it a try. For those of you who do this, do you put ribbon around the center first and then attach the resin/bottlecap? From pictures I've seen posted, it doesn't look like it, but I thought I'd ask. If you can, please post a picture!
TIA

When I put a resin center on my bows, I do wrap the center first and then attach the resin.

Thanks Barbara Jean. When they come in the mail I'll give it a try and post the results.

When I use resins I wrap the center first too, so you cant see the bows sewed and wrapped, it gives it a clean look.

I have totally been thinking of adding cute centers to my bows...I am thinking maybe charms or something. Like peace signs, hearts, stars or something like that. The only thing is where to find it.

Do you use hot glue or E6000? Which is better?

I wrap w the ribbon just so you don't see all my "handy work" and then hot glue the center when using one. I use hot glue because that is what is handy and have never had a problem with them falling off so far.
