View Full Version : How do you make these tails on each side

I think I have the bows down, but I can't get figure out how to get the tails to be on each side like these.
Can some one tell me what I need to do.Thanks

are you talking about the spikes behind the bow? You cut your ribbons, lay them together and then crease them. Hold on, I think I gotta link....

yep, from one of my favorite bow makers, she is amazing! Anyone getting married? After looking at this post look at some of her other posts and her shop!

I could not figure it , I think I was over thinking some. Now to be able to do it. I will start to give this a shot this weekend.

Wow thanks also I have purchase instructions so I have been doing it one way almost the same but the link you gave make a cleaner looking bow .

Yeah what I do is I cut 4 pieces of 5 Inches of ribbon and cut the points in the tips and you just criss cross them and sew up the middle and pull tight and attache behind the bow with glue or sew it on. I use a hot glue gun cuz its alot to try and sew through! I make my pageant bows for my little girl that way :)

I'm totally awful at making bows, but with Lynn's tut, I managed to make my spikes look decent. She's great!

I am going to try this for my spikes. Mine were looking kind of ragged.
