Thanks for posting. How long was your 1.5" ribbon piece?
I will have to try doing it like yours. Mine never looks like a pinwheel, I think I over lap it too much.

I can't seem to get mine to be "pinwheelish" either. There always seems to be a space on each side. I will have to try this way too.
