You could try less and smaller. That would work. I would probably start with using less before I tried using smaller though. You don't want to sacrifice fullness too much.

You can make those in any size and with any ribbon. I make quite a bit, though I really don't like to. I just leave my ribbon on the rolls while I make mine.

I have made them with smaller french barrettes and they worked fine.

I just finsished one on the 60 mm barrett and it looks round kind of instead of the long look. Is that ok?
How do you keep the loops from going under each other ? Mine are wanting to hid under the other loops.

That did come out round!! I don't know how that happened but it is cute. I leave the ribbon on the roll, make a loop, wind thread around it, then seperate the loops. At first I loop in the center of the barrette, then left, then right, then middle again. That way you get the effect you are supposed to have. Yours is really cute that way though. Hope you understand these funky directions. :)

Wow, I can't believe these are back - I used to wear these when I was a kid! They're still cute though:)

I think I like it round better! Love the ribbon colors too. :)

I had to get my hubby to put the clasp back together last night , I was trying to put together backwards and it just would not work.
I am thinking about trying to do one in purple colors like this one.
