How to make a cozy sleeve for baby bottle.

These cozys are the perfect for the lil ones. Not too warm or too cold for those lil fingers. Can be used on day cares or can substitute the measurements for a sipper.

I am using an avent bottle for measurement. I am not using the insul bright here but you can use one if you want. These are the same pattern for Coffee cozy sleeves.

Bottle measures width 7.25 inches. Give seam allowance for 0.5 X 2 = 1 + 7.25 inches = 8.25
Length is 2 inches - 2 x 2 + 1(seam allowance - top and bottom) = 5 inches

Cut the fabric to 8.25 inches wide and 5 inches long.

Turn the wrong size of the fabric up.

Fold the fabric in half and start sewing thru the ends. We already made enough space for seams.

Sew as shown. Repeat on the top so they wont look bulged.

If you are using the insul fabric, it will go between the layers.

I am also using a co ordinating fabric to make the trims

I had to use fabric bond after this. The noise from the sewing machine seems to wake the kids.

I also attached an elastic string for button. You can also use velcro or push buttons.

I added a rhine stone.

The fabric glue is still wet, but if you are using your sewing machine, make sure to cut the extra threads and press them using iron.

Thanks a lot

This is very cute, but my concern is the button and rhinestones. Babies love to pick at things and put them in their mouths. Is there any other way to secure?
